I’m Sandro Schibli, a licensed drone pilot and founder of ALATE Productions, specializing in FPV drone cinematography.
With a passion for capturing stunning visuals from unique perspectives, I help businesses, real estate, hotels, and events tell their stories in captivating ways. Based in southern Sweden, I’m always ready to travel and take on new projects, delivering high-quality results with precision and professionalism.
My Story
From the Ice to the Skies
For the last few years, I worked as an ice hockey youth coach for different age groups. In April 2024, I had the honor of winning the U16 National Swedish Championship — a milestone that’s a testament to the dedication and passion I bring to everything I do. Sports have always been a huge part of my life, teaching me discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.
Overcoming Challenges and Building Resilience
On a personal level, I’ve faced many challenges. Moving from one country to another, I taught myself a new language and handled everything from immigration processes to securing an apartment —completely on my own. These experiences taught me resilience and adaptability, qualities I bring into my business. Today, I’m based in Ängelholm, in southern Sweden, just a short drive from Copenhagen Airport, which gives me the flexibility to travel easily for projects, no matter where they take me.
The Journey into Filmmaking and Drone Cinematography
While my career in sports was rewarding, I’ve always had a love for video making. Over the years, I found myself increasingly drawn to filmmaking, with a particular fascination for drones. The turning point for me was seeing the famous Bowling-Alley Clip by Jaybyrdfilms, which sparked my journey into FPV drone videography. Capturing dynamic, immersive shots from unique perspectives became my passion.

In 2024, I took the leap and founded ALATE Productions, where I bring my love for aerial videography to life. My work focuses on creating visually stunning drone content for businesses, real estate, hotels, and events—helping clients tell their stories from a whole new perspective. With a commitment to professionalism, high-quality results, and a keen eye for perfection, I ensure every project is delivered with precision and care.
Travel as a Source of Creativity
Besides my work, I love to explore the world. From places far away, like exploring vibrant cities such as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, to vacationing on stunning beaches in Thailand, and enjoying short city trips across Europe, travel fuels my creativity and provides fresh inspiration for every project. My family and friends are in Switzerland, and I travel back almost every month to visit them and work on new projects.
Balancing Life with Sports, Fitness, and Relaxation
Aside from traveling, I spend a lot of time consuming ice hockey (this time from the stands rather than behind the bench) and going to the gym. The gym has had a positive impact on me, helping me stay focused and energized—qualities that I carry into both my work and personal life. I also enjoy going for walks on the beach, finding it a peaceful way to recharge and reflect.
