You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of these data. If you have given consent to data processing, you may revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

For this and other questions on the subject of data protection, you can contact us at any time.

Data Retention

Unless a more specific storage period has been specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you make a legitimate request for deletion or revoke consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, the deletion occurs after these reasons cease to apply.

SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data, which we process based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract, automatically delivered to yourself or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.

Access, Deletion, and Correction

Under applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing and, if necessary, a right to correct or delete this data. For this purpose, as well as other questions about personal data, you can contact us at any time.

Right to Restrict Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restrict processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

  • If the processing of your personal data happened/happens unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.

  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or enforce legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.

  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 Para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies

Our web pages use so-called "cookies." Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until your web browser automatically deletes them. Cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services). Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising. Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you wish to use (functional cookies, e.g., for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies to measure the web audience) are stored based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless a different legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to store cookies has been requested, the storage of the relevant cookies is based solely on this consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time. You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited. Where cookies are used for analysis purposes or set by third-party companies, we will inform you separately within this privacy policy and, if necessary, ask for consent.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Hostname of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

  • IP address

These data are not combined with other data sources. The collection of these data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of his website - for which the server log files must be recorded.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your consent.

The processing of these data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer pertains (e.g., after completing your request). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Inquiry via Email, Telephone, or Fax

If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not share this information without your consent.

The processing of these data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data sent by you to us via contact requests remain with us until you ask us to delete, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer pertains (e.g., after completion of your request). Mandatory statutory provisions - especially legal retention periods - remain unaffected.

5. Social Media

Instagram Plugin

Functions of the Instagram service are integrated into this website. These features are offered by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the contents of this website to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit to this website with your user account. Please note that as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or their use by Instagram.

The storage and analysis of the data are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the widest possible visibility in social media. If the corresponding consent has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

Insofar as personal data are collected on our website with the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook or Instagram, we and Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and their forwarding to Facebook or Instagram. The subsequent processing by Facebook or Instagram is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent on us jointly have been set out in an agreement regarding joint processing. You can find the text of the agreement at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.

According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing the privacy information when using the Facebook or Instagram tool and for the privacy-secure implementation of the tool on our website. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook or Instagram products. Rights of data subjects (e.g., requests for information) regarding the data processed by Facebook or Instagram can be claimed directly from Facebook. If you assert the rights of data subjects with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.

Data Transfer to the USA

Data transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can find details here: EU Data Transfer Addendum, Instagram Help, and Facebook Help. More information can be found in Instagram's privacy policy: Instagram Privacy.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter Data

If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Other data are collected only on a voluntary basis. We use these data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not transmit them to third parties.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter subscription form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address, and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for instance through the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the already completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data deposited with us for the purpose of obtaining the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or after the purpose for data storage ceases to apply. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest under Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

After you are removed from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used only for this purpose and not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is indefinite. You may object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

7. Plugins and Tools

YouTube with Enhanced Privacy

This website embeds videos from YouTube using enhanced privacy settings. This site is operated by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, enabling privacy-enhanced mode does not necessarily preclude the sharing of data with YouTube partners. Thus, YouTube may establish a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this site, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. This informs the YouTube server about which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting) once you start a video. YouTube can receive information about visitors to this website using these methods. This information is used, among other things, to capture video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud attempts.

Additional data processing procedures may be triggered after you start a YouTube video, which we have no control over.

Using YouTube is in the interest of making our online offerings appealing. This constitutes a justified interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing occurs exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

More information about privacy at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: Google Privacy Policy.

Vimeo

This website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a Vimeo video, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address, even if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The information collected by Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA.

If you are logged into your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

To recognize website visitors, Vimeo uses cookies or similar recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). The use of Vimeo is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing occurs exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, according to Vimeo, on "legitimate business interests." Details can be found here: Vimeo Privacy. More information on the handling of user data can be found in Vimeo's privacy policy at: Vimeo Privacy.
